Fresh off a successful European tour and sold-out EP Luce/Luna Gioia on the renowned Space Grapes label, jazz-funk trio Collettivo Immaginario's sound is characterized by atypical harmonic and rhythmic structures juxtaposed with moments of sonic meditation, referencing jazz-funk, Brazilian popular music, disco, and library music.
The trio, consisting of Alberto Lincetto on Fender Rhodes and synth, Nicolò Masetto on bass and Tommaso Cappellato on drums, released their debut single Closer To The Sun in 2019 on First Word Records, followed by the album Trasforma on Domanda Music in 2022.
Since then, the group has released multiple singles, including Libra, Alberoni, and Tempo Al Tempo, the latter played by renowned DJs Theo Parrish and J Rocc. These releases have culminated in their brilliant new album, 2025's Oltreoceano, which features Maylee Todd, Mocky, Isaiah Collier, Dwight Trible, and Danilo Plessow.
